school hours are getting longer, some of us felt.
since day one of school, my 24 hours have been divided into
12-hours-day in school
1-hour-day travelling
1-hour-day dinner
5.5-hours-day of sleep
4.5-hours-day of misc chores and stonning
within the 12-hours-day in school, i can hardly find lunch hour.
school ends at 2.30 pm on average. if we have class from 10am onwards, lunch has to be consumed before 10am, which usually is common.
by the time the last lesson ends at 2.30pm, you clean up the mess and bring your tired body back to the staff room, it's about 3pm. you stone for 5 mins here and there, see students here and there, visit the toilet after hours of not-going, and finally settled at your desk once again to do some real work, it's almost 4 pm plus. at about 7pm plus, you will hear the aircon vent go quiet, and auntie's keys cling-clink sound coming near as she locks the door, hinting you that she wants to go home soon. and you realised that the pile of work you have hasn't gone down an inch at all, but your sugar level has dropped tremendously. your body ached all over and you just felt like crying inside.
stepping out of the staff room, the sky is already dark. sometimes when you get to see a little light before sun set, it's just simply happiness.
and you thought,'another 11.5 hours later, i'm back here again.'
