we came home today and found this note on the door:
" Hi, please lock the dog to the room or kitchen where you are not. It has been barking non stops and neighbours are complanng".
The english is bad, and the writer can't spell.
we knocked on our next door neighbour's door and asked if it was from him. he said yes. when we asked him which neighbours complained, he said "don't know, think it's upstairs, came downstairs to look for the dog". we asked how does he look like, he said the person plays basketball.
there are no adults playing basketball here in our block, young teenagers, yes. my opposite neighbour's son is one. my dog doesn't bark at him.
we have lived here for 5 years now. no one has complained about the dog barking. this neighbour has just moved in. the first time we met him, he mentioned he was hesitating to buy the unit because of our dog. I didn't have a good impression of him right away. you don't make comment like this in front of people who obviously love dogs, and who are going to be your neighbours, and we lived here first, if he wants to move in next door, live with what are already here!
we think he is the one who wants to complain, not others. seriously, NO ONE has complained to us this 5 years, not until now, after he moved in.
there are so many dogs living in this block, and dogs bark.
if there is a stranger lingering outside our flat, of course our dog barks at him.
it is just hurting to get such a note coming home.
it hurts to know that there are such people around. they don't understand that our dog is our family. making a note of comment like such to our dog is just like saying something bad of any of our family members, who are human beings.
if kiki can read the note, i'm sure she will feel hurt and will cry.
this makes us more determined to move away.
