not connected

various things happened,
but not connected, except that it happened to me.

yes, thanks for the epok-epok, addorra.... and thanks for bringing them to school especially for me just because I've mentioned that i love it in my blog. I was surprised that you came by just to pass them to me! And sorry that in the end you were stuck helping mdm R to sort out her chemistry files!!! :) you must make her epok-epok too :)

and then lots of work started rushing in.
amongst these i caught so many of my kids skipping classes.
it's ridiculous to be spending my free periods playing hide-and-seek with them this way.
after that i have also spent lots of time talking to them.
i hope they will finally realised what's really true and good for them.

the consolation is that i get to talk to a few about praises teachers gave them.
that put a smile on them, and tears in my eyes.

and 2 sms that says sorry teacher and thankyou teacher made me want to stay on longer.

while i get myself up with all these work, i was down with strange rashes these 2 days. Doctor's jab to stop the itch made me drowsy for 2 days. i slept through them with my phone kept ringing and msg kept beeping.

ok i know the work is still piling.
i'm back to work tomorrow.
stop bugging me.

your students send you text messages? you mean they have your number? wow... that's teaching in the 21st century eh.. and yet nothing changes - students still skip classes (like we did haha)
Get better soon.... big hugs :)

Haha, someone actually wrote in to Forum in Straits Times and scold TCS for portraying teacher's job unrealistically, haha, TCS like to romanticise reality.

I think MOE have to re-invent themselves, still using the 90s system to teach the kids now, sigh...
